Indoor vs. Outdoor
Cats live longer, healthier lives indoors where they don’t have to contend with cars, predators, fleas and ticks, injury and disease.
If you want to take your cat outdoors, some cats do well with a harness and leash. In any case, stay with your cat while outdoors and bring it in when you go in — coyotes and other predators are in every neighborhood. You also will need to treat your cat for fleas and ticks to avoid bringing them into your home.
